With more than 1100 international members, the eco Association of the Internet Industry is Europe’s largest industry network for Internet firms in Europe.
eco has been shaping the development of the Internet in Germany for over 25 years. The association promotes technologies and infrastructures and fosters new business relationships. It also represents the IT industry in both German and European political arenas and in international committees.Experts and decision-makers from the member firms work together in thirteen competence groups to promote new topics in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and IT security.
EuroCloud-Native-Initiative
As a member of the EuroCloud Native (ECN) initiative, inovex is committed to driving cloud-platform-based innovation within the EuroCloud competence group.
The ECN initiative aims to give providers of public cloud-based solutions and services a greater voice and to serve as a specialised forum for cloud-native topics. The initiative’s goals include professionalising the market and its offerings and developing common quality standards – particularly for non-hyperscalers. In addition, however, it also aims to create its own services, establish best practices, and foster cooperation between providers.
Service Master
Under the auspices of the eco Association of the Internet Industry, the Service Master project aims to create an AI-based service platform for German SMEs to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in Germany.
As part of the project, inovex is working with KROHNE, the leading manufacturer of process measurement technology. Together, the two companies have developed a solution which links water management to the Internet of Things (IoT). The modules developed will, for example, use AI methods to visually render sensor data, predict faults, and optimise staffing. The solution will enable service personnel to keep an eye on their supply, sewer and service networks remotely.
