inovex helps Südschule Neureut establish a fischertechnik club
Projects and clubs for more than 20 primary school pupils
(Karlsruhe, 17.12.2019) With a donation of 2,500 euros, inovex GmbH has enabled the Südschule Neureut to establish a fischertechnik technology club, as well as regular related project groups. The funding has enabled the primary school to purchase several technology kits which pupils can use to learn mechanical and technical skills through play.
Motivated leaders and pupils
The technology club was established by the school’s headteacher, Alexandra Huber. Ms Huber previously served as deputy head of Karlsruhe’s Weinbrennerschule school, where she was involved in establishing a fischertechnik club which inovex supported with donations in 2015 and 2016.
The Südschule Neureut’s friends of the school assist Ms Huber in running the programmes, which have enjoyed their full complement of 20 pupils since day one – including, to everyone’s delight, an increasing number of female pupils.
The initiative was implemented with the assistance of the Cyberforum Karlsruhe, which organises the annual fischertechnik Day for primary schools as well as the School Robotics Cup for secondary schools. Almost all the schools in the Karlsruhe municipal area have now implemented fischertechnik programmes.
