inovex – one of the best employers in the mid-sized sector

FOCUS-BUSINESS and kununu rate SMEs in Germany.

(Karlsruhe, 04.12.2018) IT service provider inovex has been named as one of the best employers in the German mid-sized sector.

The study is based on reviews by employees on kununu, Europe’s largest employer rating platform. German companies had to have between 11 and 500 employees, i.e. as per the definition of the mid-sized sector, to be included. A further criteria was that the company had to have at least 10 reviews (five of which have been submitted since 2017) on kununu and the average review has to be at least 3.5 stars (on a scale of 1 to 5). Along with the kununu score, the number of reviews and the relation to other companies of the same size were also important for the final placement. This resulted in the ranking of mid-sector companies in Germany that has now been published in FOCUS-BUSINESS. inovex was awarded 10th place in the top 50 companies.

Appreciative and family-friendly corporate culture

Over the past few years, inovex has repeatedly been awarded one of the most family-friendly employers, so the company is really pleased about this new award, as Jasmina Groeger from the HR team at inovex confirms, 'We are working constantly to ensure that our colleagues feel happy working for us. The 259 reviews now on kununu, which have been submitted by permanent members of staff, applicants and apprentices, reflect the vision of the company, 'Top company with top working conditions' or 'Best employer that I’ve ever had' are some of the headings. In the statements about the individual departments, employees also express a great sense of solidarity with the company. This is highlighted, for example, by reviews of leadership behaviour, 'Best bosses ever,' '(...) there is a very good relationship with superiors, who are always happy to listen, even outside of official appointments.' The working atmosphere is also deemed to be generally positive, 'Flat hierarchies, no-one thinks they’re better than the rest and everyone is taken seriously' or 'Our work is appreciated. You can have a try, make mistakes and still be treated positively and learn from your mistakes.'

'We are pleased with our reviews but we never take them for granted,' confirms Jasmina Groeger, 'because the mood can change over time.' This is why inovex sets great store by an open communication policy, 'We have various channels, through which colleagues can ask questions, express criticism or offer suggestions for improvement: be it for example the internal chat function, regular meetings and feedback sessions and of course informal, personal discussions at any time. No-one here will ever say they don’t have time. The door is always open to anyone.'
