inovex Supports Local Nikolauspflege Stuttgart Foundation
Donated network hardware serves as training supplies
(Stuttgart, 25.07.2018) With a donation of used network hardware, IT project experts inovex are supporting the Nikolauspflege des Berufsbildungswerks Stuttgart, a local foundation providing vocational training for disabled and disadvantaged young people. This organisation trains visually impaired, partially sighted and blind young people to become IT specialists in application development and systems integration, as well as IT management assistants.
The impetus for the donation was provided by Maximilian von Wissel, who himself attended the Tilly-Lahnstein-Schule, a school run by the Nikolauspflege foundation, before successfully completing his training as a computer science expert.
As part of his final project at the Karlsruhe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), Maximilian von Wissel equipped inovex’s Karlsruhe ParkPlaza office with a new network infrastructure. The hardware which was replaced is fully functional and worth around 4,000 euros, and it will now be used to provide training and teaching materials for test builds created by the students. 'This donation will provide our apprentices with at least a year’s worth of test builds and much more,' explains instructor Thomas Eschenweck.
