AI Agents

Autonomous AI systems for complex business processes

The potential of Agentic AI: More than mere automation

Automating work processes improves efficiency and saves resources. Until now, however, this automation was based on clearly defined static rules. Our AI agents enable you to automate not just tasks, but complete, complex work processes in dynamic environments. These agents can procure information from various sources, draw conclusions, test hypotheses, and take corrective measures – often with a speed and precision which exceeds human capacities. This means that your valuable experts can focus more strongly on strategic tasks while agents provide operational support.

Our offering: From design right through to operation

We’ll work with you to identify the use cases with the highest potential for agent-based workflows. We’ll analyse your existing system landscape and define the architecture (single-agent versus multi-agent systems, for example) and the requisite security concepts.

Our experts will develop robust AI agents tailored specifically to your requirements and goals. To do this, we’ll use leading frameworks which equip the agents with the necessary
tools (such as database access, API usage, and internal software) and validate their decision-making.

We’ll also use instruction fine-tuning to align the language model precisely to your domain-specific instructions and desired behaviours.

An agent is only as good as its integration. We’ll create seamless connections with your existing systems (ERP, CRM, IT monitoring), and our experts will ensure that the agents can operate reliably, securely, and scalably within a corporate context.

Autonomous systems require reliable monitoring. To ensure this, we implement solutions for monitoring agent performance. At the same time, we can train your teams to work with the new, agent-based processes, collaboratively ensuring continuous optimisation.

Application Examples

Where AI agents create value

Intelligent Customer Service

AI customer service agents can not only understand queries, but also modify bookings, track orders, and use internal systems to independently resolve technical problems.

Automated Data Analysis & Reporting

Upon request, agents can be trained to create reports or performance evaluations. To do this, they independently source data from various databases, analyse it, and compile draft reports.

Autonomous Process Control

Agents can monitor the supply chain, detect anomalies (such as delayed deliveries), and automatically query alternative logistics partners or modify orders.

Research Agents

You can use agents to create market analyses, track regulations and tenders, or automatically monitor your competition.

Deep Agents

Deep agents use large language models (such as GPT, Gemini, and Grok) to autonomously and strategically achieve complex goals through logical planning.

Showcase: The inovex Coding Assistant

The MCP as Centre of die Agentic Workflwos

A central success factor for software development is the efficient handling of large, complex code bases. In order to support our own developers and to demonstrate our expertise in
agent-based workflows, inovex has developed an internal coding assistant. Unlike generic code tools, our assistant is a specialized AI agent which has a deep understanding of the entire project code basis. Based on the agentic workflows described in the inovex blog and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), this assistant can autonomously execute complex, context-related tasks:

  • Context-aware analyses: The assistant can answer such questions as: “Which services would be affected by modifying this API definition?”
  • Autonomous code generation: The assistant can create boilerplate code, unit tests, and API documentation which conforms precisely to internal coding standards.
  • Guided refactoring: The assistant can identify optimisation potential in code and make proactive refactoring suggestions.

What makes an agent trustworthy and secure?

Agent security is created not through trust, but through control. Rather than being an out-of-the-box concept, security must be ensured by experts.

We use a multilayered defence-in-depth strategy:

Security by Design

We can use threat modelling to identify your existing risks and subsequently implement the appropriate security measures.

Input & Data Privacy

We’ll implement upstream guardrails to filter out malicious input (prompt injections) and use PII masking to ensure that personally identifiable data is never sent unprotected to the model.

Sandbox & Least Privilege

Agents operate in isolated runtime environments with minimal permissions. Critical tools are encapsulated so that agents are technically incapable of carrying out destructive actions, such as deleting databases.

Zero-Trust Reasoning (ZTR)

We also use our own architecture framework, which operates in accordance with the Assume Breach principle. It flags insecure data flows and automatically blocks critical actions until the agent’s context has been verified using a validation filter.

Why should you use inovex for your AI agent initiative?

The development of AI agents requires more than just AI expertise. It requires deep knowledge of software architecture, data security, and process integration. At the same time, particular attention must be paid to security. In addition to established security activities, measures must be taken to counteract data poisoning, prompt injection, or embedding attacks. We take these threats systematically into account during our projects in order to develop appropriate countermeasures.

As a full-stack service provider, inovex unites all these competencies. AI agents need tools in order to act effectively. A scheduling agent, for example, checks calendars and sends invitations; a bookkeeping agent verifies invoice data and cash books, and a marketing agent analyses social media channels. We develop custom-tailored, secure tools to ensure that your AI agents are optimally prepared for their duties, thus creating end-to-end solutions which are integrated into your value chain.
