Christian Meder

Chief Technology Officer

Christian Meder is inovex's CTO. His areas of specialisation are lightweight Java and open-source technologies, as well as scalable Linux-based architectures. He has been an active member of the open-source community for more than a decade. Christian Meder is responsible for the „inovex Lab“, our central Research & Development hub. Here, we systematically carry out the early detection, testing and evaluation of new technologies, IT trends and application options pertaining to all aspects of the digital transformation.

Consulting

Our consulting focus is on social business and success factors in digital business. We provide consulting in the form of benchmarking, strategy development, business cases and architecture for business models based on information resources and digital products. Embedding our systems in inovex's technology context enables us to adopt an approach that extends from the initial idea to implementation. From the very outset, our consultants consider how their designs will be implemented in specific IT systems. They are supported in this by our experts in application development, IT engineering & operations and business intelligence.

Application Development

Tobias Joch

Tobias Joch

Head of Application Development

Our application development unit focuses on lightweight, scalable architectures. We develop user-centric web systems and portals and implement concepts preferably with J2EE/Java EE and open-source technologies. We also integrate the applications we develop into existing IT systems (using REST, SOAP, JDBC etc.) and form cross-functional DevOps teams to consider the subsequent high-availability, highly scalable software operations in the data centres. In addition to implementing sophisticated web applications with Java Enterprise Backend, we focus on developing applications for mobile end devices, such as smartphones and tablets. Our Mobile Development team specialises in the design and implementation of high-calibre, quality-assured applications integrated into our customers' backend systems. The team has particular expertise in Android.

Data Management & Analytics

Patrick Thoma

Patrick Thoma

Head of Data Management & Analytics

Our Data Management & Analytics unit handles traditional business intelligence topics (data warehousing, ETL, reporting, dashboards etc.), as well as new trends in BI environments, including agile business intelligence, big data, mobile BI and social analytics. The Data Management & Analytics team specialises in projects with specific requirements: modelling highly complex cubes, the integration of heterogeneous data sources, the implementation of mobile dashboards, data warehouse tuning and the handling of very large volumes of data. When it comes to implementation, we focus on 3 key technologies: Microsoft BI, Pentaho and Hadoop.

IT Engineering & Operations

Matthias Albert

Matthias Albert

Head of IT Engineering & Operations

"IT Engineering and Operations" handles the combined disciplines required for the flexible, reliable operation of systems in data centres: the design, installation and configuration of server infrastructures, and the daily maintenance and running of these systems. Our focus is on high availability and scalability, migrations, the cloud, and open-source data centre management. We use innovative technologies to achieve these aims, with an emphasis on open source. Working closely with the development team enables us to align infrastructures very closely with the software we have developed (DevOps).

inovex Academy

Collin Rogowski

Collin Rogowski

Head of inovex Academy

We're always happy to share with our customers the methods and technologies that we implement so successfully in our projects. We do this in the form of training courses and coaching sessions - almost like an application-based "academy". We consider ourselves a sustainable service provider. Not only do we solve problems in the short term, but we also provide a basis for ongoing long-term development.

These training sessions are offered as "on-site training", which we can hold at the customer's premises on their requested date, or as open events, held on fixed dates and open to all interested parties.
